Position Overview
The Senior HR Business Partner – HR Site Head in Cologne is tasked with ensuring uniformity in all people-related matters and human resources practices at the site. This role involves implementing and managing change initiatives to bolster organizational effectiveness. The individual will coordinate and deliver management training and educational programs, lead performance management and salary planning processes, and actively participate in the Site Leadership team while collaborating closely with the local works council. The role also entails supporting the evolution of the centers of excellence (CoE) by serving as the subject matter expert on German labor and payroll law to enhance efficiency and compliance. Additionally, the position will work in partnership with talent acquisition to cultivate an employer brand and attract top-tier talent.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive HR support to the site and leadership team, focusing on areas such as coaching, facilitation, employee development, performance management, and succession planning.
- Collaborate with managers to assess staffing needs and develop human resources strategies.
- Independently manage high-level HR projects and address complex HR challenges.
- Offer coaching to managers and supervisors on performance, disciplinary actions, and related issues.
- Handle employee relations matters and investigations, providing guidance to team members.
- Design and deliver training programs in key HR areas, including anti-harassment, interview techniques, and supervisory skills.
- Regularly engage with the local works council in close partnership with the site head.
- Assist with various administrative tasks as needed.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources or Business Administration.
- In-depth knowledge of German labor law and experience working with works councils.
- Experience in payroll processes and service center operations.
- Fluency in both German and English.
- Experience in a multinational, matrixed organization is advantageous.
