The Senior HR Business Partner – Site Head will play a crucial role in ensuring uniformity in all people-related matters and human resources practices at the site. This position is tasked with implementing and coordinating change initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness. The role includes overseeing management training and education, leading performance management, and salary planning processes. As an integral member of the Site Leadership team, this individual will work closely with the local works council and support the evolution of our centers of excellence (CoE) by serving as the subject matter expert on German labor and payroll law, driving efficiency and compliance.
With a workforce of approximately 120 employees across Operations, R&D, Marketing, and Sales, the HR representative will collaborate with the global CoE network to provide comprehensive HR support. This role is expected to be onsite at our Cologne facility daily, with occasional remote work options available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver business support on all HR-related matters to the site and leadership team, focusing on areas such as coaching, facilitation, employee development, performance management, and succession planning.
- Collaborate with managers to assess staffing needs and develop human resources strategies.
- Independently manage senior-level HR projects and complex issues.
- Provide coaching to managers and supervisors on performance, disciplinary actions, and related topics.
- Handle employee relations issues and investigations, offering guidance to team members.
- Design and conduct training programs in key HR areas, including anti-harassment, interview techniques, and supervisory skills.
- Regularly meet with the local works council in close partnership with the site head.
- Assist with various administrative tasks.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources or Business Administration.
- Extensive knowledge of German labor law and experience working with works councils.
- Experience in payroll processes and service centers.
- Fluency in both German and English.
- Experience in a multinational, matrixed organization is advantageous.
