Business Unit Head of Commercial Products in ASEAN

As the Business Unit Head of Commercial Products in ASEAN, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing comprehensive strategic plans to drive sustainable and profitable growth in product testing, inspection, and certification services across industries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive Sales and Business Development: Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve commercial success and expand our market presence in ASEAN.
  • Ensure Synergy: Foster collaboration between Business Lines and Service Lines to optimize our Commercial Products Business Unit's performance.
  • Lead Budgeting and P&L: Oversee budgeting, profit and loss management, and sales performance for the Commercial Products Business Unit in ASEAN.
  • Conceptualize and Execute Business Strategies: Develop and implement business and Go-To-Market strategies to drive growth and profitability.
  • Align with Global and Regional Teams: Collaborate with Global Divisional, Regional, and Local Service Line teams to align on business strategies and ensure seamless execution.
  • Identify and Respond to Market Trends: Stay up-to-date on industry trends, opportunities, and customer needs to inform business decisions.
  • Define and Optimize Sales Organizational Setup: Design and implement an effective sales organizational structure to drive business growth.
  • Collaborate with Service Line Heads and ASEAN GMs: Work with Service Line Heads and ASEAN General Managers to identify local competency gaps and develop solutions.
  • Establish and Strengthen Industry Networks: Build and maintain relationships with industry stakeholders to drive business growth and opportunities.
  • Talent Development and Succession Planning: Oversee talent development and succession planning to ensure a strong leadership pipeline.
  • Ensure Financial Compliance and Governance: Ensure adherence to financial regulations and governance standards.
Requirements:
  • Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of sales management and/or consulting experience in global organizations.
  • Team Leadership Experience: Proven track record of leading high-performing teams.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong technical knowledge of specific industries and products.
  • Experience in Third-Party Testing, Inspection, and Certification: Experience working with Third-Party Testing, Inspection, and Certification companies is preferred.
  • Business Acumen: Strong business acumen to address leadership challenges and assumptions.
  • Negotiation and Influence: Skilled in navigating challenges and aligning stakeholders to drive business initiatives.
  • Business Development and Strategic Planning: Expertise in business development, strategic planning, execution, and project management.
  • Business Judgment and Diplomacy: Demonstrated business judgment and diplomacy to influence management and implement business initiatives effectively.

Travel Requirements: Willing to travel at least 25% of the time.
