Role Overview:
The Strategic Buyer will report directly to the Head of Global Facility Management, Energy, and Logistics Procurement. This role is pivotal in managing both local and global procurement initiatives tailored to the Facility and Logistics categories, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and maximizing value.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct tenders at local, national, and global levels using SAP Ariba Source to Contract, adhering to internal protocols and legal requirements.
  • Oversee procurement activities including proposal solicitation, evaluation, price comparisons, e-auctions, negotiations, and contract awards.
  • Manage contracts and amendments within SAP Ariba Source to Contract.
  • Compile market research summaries and provide insights on market trends, supplier options, and potential alternatives.
  • Collaborate with business units to enhance sourcing strategies and ensure value for money.
  • Analyze procurement spending and benchmark against best practices, focusing on total cost of ownership.
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand demand requirements and identify bundling opportunities.
  • Facilitate collaboration with legal, compliance, data privacy, and procurement teams.
  • Oversee comprehensive contract management throughout the lifecycle, from decision-making to contract exit.
Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of experience in procurement within an international context or global project management in matrix organizations.
  • A degree in a commercial or technical field (Master's preferred) with substantial strategic procurement experience, particularly in Facility Management and Logistics.
  • Ability to work autonomously while being collaborative and team-oriented.
  • Proficiency in German is essential, with business-level English proficiency.
  • Experience in business-related functions such as Sales, Operations, or Consulting is advantageous.
Preferred Skills:
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and a numerical aptitude.
  • Experience in complex environments requiring strategic and management capabilities.
  • Excellent project management, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders effectively.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and SAP Ariba (Source to Contract) e-Auction.
