About the Role:
The Strategic Purchaser will report directly to the Head of Global Facility Management, Energy and Logistics Procurement. This role is pivotal in managing both local and global procurement initiatives within the Facility and Logistics categories, ensuring alignment with business objectives and delivering optimal value.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct tenders on a local, national, and global scale utilizing SAP Ariba Source to Contract, adhering to internal protocols and legal standards.
- Execute comprehensive procurement processes including proposal solicitation, evaluation, price comparisons, e-auctions, negotiations, and award decisions.
- Oversee contract management and amendments within SAP Ariba Source to Contract.
- Prepare detailed market research summaries and provide insights to business units regarding market trends and supplier options.
- Consult with various business units to enhance sourcing strategies and maximize value.
- Analyze procurement market expenditures and conduct benchmarking, focusing on best practices and total cost of ownership.
- Coordinate with business units to identify demand requirements and explore bundling opportunities.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including legal and compliance teams, to ensure a seamless procurement process.
- Manage the entire lifecycle of contracts, from decision-making to contract exit management.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in procurement within an international company or in global project management.
- A degree in a commercial or technical field (Master's preferred) with substantial strategic procurement experience, ideally in Facility Management and Logistics.
- Ability to work autonomously while also being collaborative and team-oriented.
- Proficiency in German is essential, with business-level English proficiency required.
- Previous experience in business-related functions is advantageous.

- Strong analytical and conceptual skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Experience in complex environments requiring strategic and management capabilities.
- Excellent project management, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to influence stakeholders effectively.
- Familiarity with MS Office Products and SAP Ariba (Source to Contract) e-Auction.
