FloQast is the leader in accounting workflow automation, created by accountants for accountants. We're seeking a highly skilled Sales Engineer to join our team and empower our direct sales team by acting as a liaison to address accounting-specific questions, scenarios, or other elements during the sales cycle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with sales reps to provide technical and operational accounting expertise during remote and on-site demonstration meetings.
  • Conduct in-depth value-based product demonstrations to prospects and customers, highlighting the benefits of our cloud-based, AI-enhanced software.
  • Participate in webinars, trade-shows, and industry events to promote our product and build relationships with potential clients.
  • Elevate the sales team's accounting knowledge to better understand and cater to prospect needs, driving revenue growth and rep development.
  • Continuously strategize with direct sales team members on positioning, objection handling, and next steps to ensure a smooth sales process.
  • Lead internal training sessions to enhance accounting knowledge and provide a deeper understanding of our product's value proposition.
  • Leverage statistical analysis to identify areas of improvement and optimize the sales cycle.
  • Coordinate with product, support, and setup teams to understand and provide feedback for roadmap developments and standard support inquiries.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to support the development of collateral and ensure a consistent brand message.
  • Effectively communicate the intangible and cultural impact experienced by sales reps on the floor, highlighting the benefits of our product.
  • Provide a deeper understanding to the direct sales team as to why current clients have purchased FloQast, sharing experiences and stories to drive sales growth.
  • Assist the partnership/consulting team in running demonstrations for PE and/or accounting firms, showcasing our product's value proposition.
  • Assist the Customer Success team by joining calls with current clients to address accounting-related questions and provide support.
  • Have a detailed understanding of the current competitive landscape to act as a subject matter expert to direct sales and partnership teams.
  • Organize IT and sales collateral necessary for the direct sales team, ensuring they have the resources needed to succeed.
  • Increase individual close rates by providing expert guidance and support to the sales team.
  • Assist in technical or IT evaluations regarding the FloQast application, ensuring our product meets the needs of our clients.
What You'll Bring:
  • High-level written and verbal English and German language skills, with the ability to work across various communication methods.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of industry accounting experience, with consistent involvement across a variety of functional areas in the month-end close process.
  • Knowledge of the broad financial compliance landscape and how it functions in an organization.
  • Prior user experience of either FloQast and/or other month-end close software is a plus.
  • Strongly preferred accounting systems implementation and/or user experience – Close Management Software, ERPs, Payroll Software, Expense Management Software, Cash Management Software, etc.
  • Collaborative team player; must be comfortable in a high-velocity sales environment.
  • Energetic communicator who enjoys networking and relationship building in person and via multiple video conferencing calls daily.
  • Self-starter with a high level of initiative and follow-through; views each scenario as an opportunity to improve the current process and strive towards further excellence.
  • Ability to work well under tight deadlines and respond to rapidly changing demands.
