Accounting Workflow Automation Specialist

About the Role

FloQast is seeking a highly skilled Sales Engineer to join our team. As a Sales Engineer, you will play a critical role in empowering our direct sales team by acting as a liaison to address accounting-specific questions, scenarios, or other elements during the sales cycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with sales reps to provide technical and operational accounting expertise during remote and on-site demonstration meetings.
  • Conduct in-depth product demonstrations to prospects and customers, highlighting the value of FloQast's accounting workflow automation solutions.
  • Participate in webinars, trade-shows, and industry events to promote FloQast's products and services.
  • Elevate the sales team's accounting knowledge to better understand and cater to prospect needs.
  • Continuously strategize with direct sales team members on positioning, objection handling, and next steps.
  • Lead internal training sessions to enhance accounting knowledge and skills.
  • Leverage statistical analysis to identify areas of improvement within the sales cycle.
  • Coordinate with product, support, and setup teams to provide feedback on roadmap developments and standard support inquiries.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to support the development of collateral.
  • Effectively communicate the intangible and cultural impact experienced by sales reps.
  • Provide a deeper understanding of why current clients have purchased FloQast.
  • Assist the partnership and consulting teams in running demonstrations for PE and/or accounting firms.
  • Assist the Customer Success team by joining calls with current clients to address accounting-related questions.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of the competitive landscape to act as a subject matter expert.
  • Organize IT and sales collateral necessary for the direct sales team.
  • Increase individual close rates.
  • Assist in technical or IT evaluations regarding the FloQast application.
Requirements
  • High-level written and verbal English and German language skills.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of industry accounting experience, with consistent involvement in various functional areas of the month-end close process.
  • Knowledge of the broad financial compliance landscape and its functions within an organization.
  • Prior user experience of FloQast or other month-end close software is a plus.
  • Strongly preferred accounting systems implementation and/or user experience.
  • Collaborative team player with a high level of initiative and follow-through.
  • Energetic communicator with excellent networking and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work well under tight deadlines and respond to rapidly changing demands.
