Intersnack Procurement BV is on the lookout for a talented individual to join our team as a Category Manager for Ingredients. This pivotal role is integral to our procurement operations, where you will develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with our organizational goals.
Your Role:
As the Category Manager for Ingredients, you will:
- Formulate and implement sourcing strategies for designated ingredient categories across the Intersnack Group, utilizing our Strategic Sourcing methodologies.
- Negotiate advantageous contracts with suppliers, ensuring alignment with our strategic objectives.
- Conduct regular market analysis and reporting on ingredient trends, leveraging insights from suppliers and industry events.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across Europe to drive initiatives aimed at sustainable cost reductions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams to effectively integrate category sourcing strategies.
- Support the achievement of Intersnack Group objectives regarding cost, quality, service, and innovation.
- Assist in resolving operational challenges, including efficiency improvements and supply chain disruptions.
- Participate in special projects as directed by management.
- Contribute to the cohesive development and application of company policies and objectives.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in business management or a related discipline.
- 4-7 years of experience in a strategic procurement role within the food sector is essential.
- Proficiency in English and German, with additional language skills being advantageous.
- Familiarity with flavors and spices is a plus.
- Strong analytical and data management capabilities.
- Ability to cultivate effective working relationships and function as a valuable team member with a global perspective.
- Demonstrated personal drive, proactivity, and a results-oriented approach.
- Willingness to travel within Europe as required.
- A commitment to corporate responsibility and sustainability.
