S/4HANA Business Consultant for Service-to-Consumer

ZEISS presents a distinctive opportunity to transform business operations on a global scale, preparing the entire organization for future advancements. Currently, approximately 14,000 employees engage with existing SAP ERP systems, processing over 50 million transactions monthly.

The objective is to standardize and streamline various ERP systems from multiple companies within the Group during the transition from SAP R/3 to SAP S/4HANA. The focus is to align closely with SAP standards and harmonize processes across all sectors and regions wherever feasible, emphasizing Efficiency, Effectiveness, Speed, Flexibility, and Compliance.

This project is both thrilling and intricate. FIT4 serves as a crucial lever in executing the Company's strategic initiatives.

Successful candidates will be tasked with overseeing business requirements and designing necessary process modifications.

A profound understanding of comprehensive business processes and requirements within a SAP context is essential. Candidates must possess exceptional conceptual, results-driven, and communication skills to navigate the complexities and pace of the ZEISS Fit4 program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee (regional/segment-specific) business requirements, including business roles and data design, in relation to the global template SAP S/4HANA system through local fit-gap analyses under the guidance of deputy/hub process owners for end-to-end Service-to-Customer business processes.
  • Propel the adaptation of end-to-end Service-to-Customer business processes, including process modeling, towards FIT4 objectives of harmonization and standardization, collaborating with entity business experts on preparatory tasks such as data cleansing.
  • Provide mentorship and direction for junior hub business experts in areas such as requirements analysis and business process modeling.
  • Design and manage test cases, conducting functional end-to-end tests within the SAP S/4HANA system.
  • Actively engage in the roll-in of assigned projects within a region, primarily within a segment, and, if deemed necessary by the regional hub lead, across SBUs/segments.
  • Contribute to the development of training materials as organized by the training lead and, if required, assist end users.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Informatics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Up to 2 years of relevant professional experience in Customer Service Relationship Management.
  • Understanding of end-to-end Service-to-Customer business processes, including Customer order management, Returns and claims management, Demand and inventory management of spare parts, and integration with sales-related processes and systems.
  • Proven experience in business requirements management and business process design.
  • Familiarity with SAP R/3 and ideally SAP S/4HANA, along with relevant third-party business systems.
  • Relevant industry knowledge.
  • Excellent conceptual, results-oriented, and communication skills.
  • Ability to build networks and a willingness to work in an intercultural and interdisciplinary global team.
  • Business fluency in English and German is essential.
  • Willingness to travel up to 70%.
