Position Overview

We are currently seeking a dedicated Account Manager, Client Service (m/f/d) to join our team in a full-time capacity. This role is essential for managing insurance servicing and underwriting tasks for current accounts, as well as overseeing the underwriting of new business. The selected candidate will take on the responsibility of leading the account team and acting as the primary liaison with clients and brokers regarding all facets of the account, including insurance offerings, engineering solutions, and claims management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sustain a profitable portfolio by employing effective sales strategies, nurturing client relationships, conducting risk evaluations, and applying sound underwriting practices.
  • With guidance, drive premium growth by retaining existing clients through enhanced service offerings, selling additional product lines, and establishing fair terms for new accounts. Ensure that policies accurately reflect the intentions of both the insured and FM Global.
  • Offer expert advice and consultation to clients on insurance coverages and risk management, highlighting the advantages of various products and services provided by FM Global.
  • Collaborate with Account Engineers to set risk improvement priorities and support initiatives to ensure client adherence to loss prevention recommendations.
  • Safeguard FM Global's assets through innovative application of company underwriting programs and compliance with established guidelines.
  • Timely collection of outstanding premium balances to align with operational goals and objectives.
  • Lead the overall FM Global account team, ensuring effective and efficient implementation of the Account Business Plan.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in servicing and underwriting large property accounts across various sectors.
  • Proficient understanding of property insurance policies, financial statements, general loss prevention engineering concepts, and business software applications.
  • Proven ability in organization, problem-solving, sales negotiation, leadership, and team collaboration.
  • Familiarity with internal systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willingness to engage in occasional international travel as part of the role.
