Position Overview

This position focuses on managing the relationship with a prominent banking institution in Germany, promoting, selling, and implementing the comprehensive suite of Visa products and services. You will oversee client projects across the Visa organization, fostering robust partnerships with our banking client and delivering tailored solutions to achieve mutual business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate effective strategies for the banking client to ensure mutual success, crafting clear value propositions for the entire range of Visa offerings. Develop a detailed Account Plan in collaboration with your supervisor to prioritize and execute initiatives.
  • Employ a cooperative approach to comprehend our clients' requirements and business implications, recommending services and solutions to enhance joint growth.
  • Establish and maintain relationships throughout the client organization, including senior executives and service providers. Identify key stakeholders and remain engaged to recognize opportunities and challenges promptly.
  • Contribute to the annual business and account strategies for your banking client to meet revenue and profitability objectives.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Visa (Sales, Product Management, Marketing, Finance, Legal, Consultants, etc.) to deliver cohesive solutions and proactively develop client business.
  • Actively participate in negotiations, overseeing and leading the customer contract processes.
  • Demonstrate and enhance a comprehensive understanding of the payment technology landscape, particularly Visa products and services.
  • Drive business engagement, work closely with clients, collaborate with peers, and celebrate successes with enthusiasm and a positive spirit.

This role operates in a hybrid model, allowing for a blend of remote and office work. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 designated days each week, as determined by leadership, with a general expectation of being in the office at least 50% of the time based on business requirements.

Qualifications:
  • Prior experience and a strong interest in retail banking and/or the payment industry.
  • Proven track record in a client-facing role, consistently achieving commercial objectives.
  • Experience in Sales, Business Development, or Relationship Management, with a strong history of building client relationships and rapidly expanding existing partnerships.
  • Commercial acumen with the ability to identify opportunities and proactively suggest solutions.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with colleagues and influence external stakeholders and decision-makers at all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated skills in influencing, selling, and negotiation.
  • Outstanding presentation and communication abilities (both written and verbal).
  • Strong capability to comprehend and convey complex business information.
  • High standards of integrity and business ethics.
  • Fluency in German and English, both spoken and written. A Master's degree or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
