Position Overview:

We are seeking a (Senior) Sustainability Manager (m/f/d) who will lead sustainability assessments and initiatives while managing change effectively. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong commitment to sustainability and the ability to navigate complex projects involving diverse stakeholders.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Oversee global strategic projects and initiatives, ensuring thorough documentation, data consolidation, and ongoing monitoring of project milestones while facilitating communication among team members and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with various business units and departments to advance sustainability initiatives, providing expert insights and fostering knowledge sharing through dedicated channels.
  • Continuously refine global sustainability assessments to identify and address risks, opportunities, and compliance requirements, including reviewing sustainability standards and defining actionable roadmaps to meet ESG objectives.
  • Support the monitoring and analysis of sustainability trends, including legal requirements and investor inquiries, while developing action plans and preparing for audits and training sessions.

Your Profile:

  • A degree in sustainability management, environmental science, or a related field, complemented by several years of experience in an international EHS, regulatory, or sustainability role.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and collaboration.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale, cross-functional projects, with a background in change management being advantageous.
  • Self-motivated and adept at handling multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical skills and an understanding of complex organizational dynamics, enabling effective stakeholder engagement.
  • A detail-oriented approach with a process-driven mindset, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
  • Familiarity with sustainability terminology and reporting standards, including EU CSRD, LkSG & CSDDD, EU Taxonomy, GRI, and SASB.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken; knowledge of German is a plus.
