Role Overview:

We are in search of a (Senior) Sustainability Manager (m/f/d) to strengthen our Global Sustainability team. This role encompasses the management of sustainability evaluations, initiatives, and transformative processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee projects related to strategic global initiatives, ensuring thorough documentation, data consolidation, and ongoing progress tracking while facilitating communication among project teams and relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with various business units and departments to advance sustainability initiatives, providing expert insights and sharing knowledge through dedicated communication channels. Identify and implement tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Continuously refine global sustainability assessments to identify and mitigate sustainability risks, opportunities, and requirements, including reviewing our sustainability standards and defining actionable roadmaps to meet our ESG objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze trends and developments in sustainability, including legal requirements and investor inquiries, while developing action plans, ensuring audit readiness, and facilitating training and communication efforts.

Candidate Profile:

  • You hold a degree in sustainability management, environmental science, or a related field, complemented by several years of experience in an international EHS, regulatory, strategy, or sustainability role, or similar experience in project management.
  • Your strong interpersonal and intercultural skills enable you to engage effectively with diverse teams, fostering a collaborative spirit.
  • You have a proven track record of managing large-scale, cross-functional projects, with a background in change management being advantageous.
  • You are self-driven and thrive in a dynamic environment, managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Your analytical skills and understanding of complex organizational dynamics empower you to integrate various stakeholder perspectives effectively.
  • You possess a structured, process-oriented approach to work, ensuring thoroughness and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with sustainability terminology and reporting standards, such as EU CSRD, LkSG & CSDDD, EU Taxonomy, GRI, and SASB, is essential.
  • You bring strong prioritization skills, independence, and a results-oriented mindset to your work.
  • Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is required, while knowledge of German is a plus.
