The Area Sales Manager plays a crucial role in driving revenue growth within the assigned region. This position requires a compassionate leader who can effectively coach and empower their team to adapt to the ever-evolving demands of the field. The Area Sales Manager will report directly to the Sales Director.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Achieve sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Develop and implement region-specific objectives and initiatives
  • Adopt a participative and inclusive leadership style:
    • Encourage team autonomy and empowerment
    • Exhibit high integrity and serve as a role model
    • Foster a culture of learning from mistakes and providing feedback
    • Communicate a clear vision
  • Conduct active field coaching and support employee development in areas such as:

    • Sales techniques
    • Omnichannel customer experience and engagement

    • Account management and key opinion leader (KOL) development
    • Individual talent development
  • Strategic regional management:
    • Regularly analyze data to inform action plans in cross-functional teams (e.g., sales, market, and territory data)
    • Plan and control the budget with a results-oriented approach
  • Networking internally and externally:
    • Establish and promote cross-functional collaboration at peer and regional levels
    • Work closely with marketing, medical, field access, strategy & operations, and other key internal stakeholders
    • Attract talent from both internal and external sources
  • Business unit-specific responsibilities:
    • Overall regional responsibility for the Hematology/Oncology portfolio, including omnichannel execution and account management with support from the Customer Engagement and Operations Excellence Manager
Qualifications:
  • Degree in a scientific field and/or certification as a licensed pharmaceutical representative
  • Experience with existing clients and relevant indications
  • Proven leadership and coaching experience
  • Strong command of English (written and spoken)
  • Proficient in standard MS Office applications
  • Valid driver's license
  • Willingness to travel
