Role Overview

As the Labour and Employee Relations Lead for the DACH region, you will play a crucial role in executing Danaher’s labour and employee relations strategies within this sub-region. You will be instrumental in establishing a global Labour & Employee Relations function, which includes a Center of Excellence (LER COE) service model designed to deliver essential labour and employee relations services to our operating companies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Danaher’s German Working Group Liaison to foster and maintain a constructive relationship that facilitates enterprise-wide program and system implementations.
  • Review and prepare local factory agreements to ensure alignment and adherence to LER strategies concerning enterprise initiatives.
  • Address complex and non-routine employee relations issues in conjunction with OpCo HR business partners, including workplace investigations, leave accommodations, and performance management challenges.
  • Assist OpCo HR Business Partners (HRBPs) and HR Generalists with standard employee relations processes, including workplace investigations and associate separations.
  • Lead enterprise initiatives and projects, particularly regarding associate representative information and consultation obligations.

Qualifications

  • A university degree (undergraduate required, graduate preferred) in Law (Labour/Industrial Relations), Labour Relations, Business, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Over 10 years of experience in human resources, employee relations, labour relations, and/or legal expertise in a law firm or corporate environment.
  • A proven history of effective works council engagement and negotiation, particularly in complex business transformations and policy implementations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Excel, and familiarity with LER Case Management technology platforms.
  • Exceptional written, oral, and presentation skills in English, along with proficiency in an additional language relevant to the DACH region.
