Role Overview
The Labour and Employee Relations Lead for the DACH region is pivotal in executing Danaher’s labour and employee relations strategies across the sub-region. This role is integral to establishing a robust global Labour & Employee Relations function, which includes a Center of Excellence (LER COE) service model designed to deliver essential labour and employee relations services to our operating companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Danaher’s German Working Group Liaison to foster and maintain a constructive relationship that facilitates enterprise-wide program and system implementations.
- Review and prepare local factory agreements to ensure alignment and adherence to LER strategies regarding enterprise initiatives.
- Address complex and non-routine employee relations issues in conjunction with OpCo HR business partners, including workplace investigations, leave accommodations, and performance management challenges.
- Assist OpCo HR Business Partners (HRBPs) and HR Generalists with standard employee relations processes, including workplace investigations and associate employment separations.
- Lead enterprise initiatives and projects, ensuring compliance with associate representative information and consultation requirements.
Qualifications
- A university degree (undergraduate required, graduate preferred) in Law (Labour/Industrial Relations), Labour Relations, Business, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Over 10 years of experience in human resources, employee relations, labour relations, and/or legal experience in a law firm or corporate environment.
- Demonstrated success in engaging and negotiating with works councils, particularly in executing complex business changes and policy deployments.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Excel, and experienced with LER Case Management technology platforms.
- Exceptional written, oral, and presentation skills in English, along with proficiency in an additional language relevant to the DACH region.
