Galileo Level 2 Maintenance Specialist

In the role of a Galileo Level 2 Maintenance Specialist at HE Space, you will be integral to the Galileo Service Operator (GSOp) L2/L3 Mission Segment Maintenance team. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in Assembly, Integration, and Verification (AIV) campaigns for the Galileo Ground Segment;
- Crafting and maintaining comprehensive test documentation;
- Aiding in the preparation and execution of Non-Regression and System Validation Test Campaigns;
- Collaborating with OPS/L1 and L3 teams on problem resolution, system recovery, vulnerability management, and security incident handling;
- Contributing to Service Asset and Configuration Management activities, ensuring accurate configuration maintenance using designated tools;
- Analyzing complex systems to devise workarounds or solutions to restore standard operations;
- Supporting the development of integrated maintenance and troubleshooting environments for Galileo systems;
- Providing insights into the release strategy for both minor and major updates to the Galileo infrastructure;
Required Qualifications
Candidates should possess the following qualifications and relevant experience:
- A degree in engineering or a related technical field with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience;
- Proven experience in ground system AIV campaigns;
- Background in ground system operations;
- Familiarity with IT systems, including web-based applications and server hardware;
- Essential knowledge of the Galileo Mission Segment;
- A commitment to adhering to procedures while demonstrating creativity in overcoming challenges;
- Strong ability to coordinate complex tasks across team boundaries;
- A keen interest in ongoing learning and new technologies;
- Willingness to travel for training and workshops;
- Active personal security clearance;
- Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of an additional European language is advantageous.
