Lead Commercial Excellence Strategist, DACH

Position Overview

The Senior Manager of Commercial Excellence will play a pivotal role in enhancing commercial and operational effectiveness by crafting, orchestrating, and executing strategies, tools, and initiatives aimed at optimizing both revenue and profitability.

This position requires a thorough analysis and synthesis of insights from various sources, including market research, competitive analysis, data analytics, forecasting, and CRM systems, to facilitate data-driven decision-making. The Senior Manager will collaborate across departments with key stakeholders such as the Training Manager, Country Manager/Sales Manager, Business Leads, Marketing Manager, International Marketing Team, and the International Commercial Excellence Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and consolidate insights and data to offer strategic recommendations for informed decision-making.
  • Design and execute the Sales Force Effectiveness Plan with a focus on priority areas.
  • Collaborate with the National Sales Manager to assess sales force performance, measurement, and ongoing enhancement.
  • Partner with the National Sales Manager on sales force sizing, territory alignment, and effectiveness.
  • Champion and cultivate a culture of Sales Force Effectiveness across all markets.
  • Promote the utilization of Veeva CRM and Tableau to enhance business analytics and decision-making.
  • Work in tandem with team members to achieve cross-functional project goals.
  • Exert influence without direct authority and nurture a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.
  • Exhibit strong analytical capabilities with the proficiency to manage extensive data sets.
  • Demonstrate effective teamwork skills within a matrix organizational structure.
  • Manage multiple priorities and timelines independently.
  • Maintain a keen attention to detail while being quality-oriented and able to grasp the broader perspective.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field as specified in the essential duties.
  • Over 8 years of commercial experience in sales, marketing, or commercial excellence within the diagnostic, pharmaceutical, or biotech sectors.
  • Fluency in both German and English, written and spoken.
  • Proven track record of implementing commercial excellence initiatives with measurable outcomes.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and coordinating strategic initiatives, either directly or indirectly.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (preferably Veeva) and their deployment.
  • Proven ability to influence and propose effective solutions.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with a focus on results, facilitation, and teamwork.
  • Advanced proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Tableau, Power BI, and CRM systems.
  • Demonstrated capability to fulfill the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
