Role Overview

This position is responsible for overseeing local works council activities and negotiating company agreements. The role involves translating global strategies into market-specific actions that align with the Store associate lifecycle and contribute to achieving annual Store KPI targets. The individual will provide guidance on labor relations strategies while effectively managing relationships with employee representatives and governmental bodies. Collaboration with business partners on talent and development strategies within their stores is also essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Offer expertise in works council and economic affairs
  • Facilitate works council, joint works council, and economic affairs meetings
  • Draft, negotiate, and provide counsel on various works council matters and agreements
  • Deliver legal advice to District Managers
  • Oversee policy application, compliance, and change management support across Store teams
  • Assist in policy development and updating specific country policies
  • Establish a reliable partnership with Store teams and District Managers, acting as a trusted advisor
  • Conduct compliance training for all Store-level managers
  • Support the onboarding process for new District Managers with specialized HR sessions
  • Engage in district and regional talent review processes
  • Position is 40 hours per week (Remote)

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proficiency in both German and English
  • MA/BA Degree
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
  • Strategic thinking and risk assessment capabilities
  • Adaptability in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to influence without direct authority
  • Strong organizational competencies
  • Extensive knowledge of labor relations (minimum 5 years)
