Job Title: Sales Manager IBN South-East Germany and Austria

Corning is a leading technology company that invents life-changing products using materials science. We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Manager IBN for South-East Germany and Austria to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maximizing sales and margin for Corning Optical Communications' products in the Enterprise Network market in the allocated region. This includes generating leads, identifying new opportunities, and developing relationships with end users, distribution channels, and installers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively from a home office base with minimum supervision. Additionally, the candidate should have very good German and English language skills and be willing to travel 3-4 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maximize sales and margin for Corning Optical Communications' products in the Enterprise Network market
  • Generate leads and identify new opportunities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with end users, distribution channels, and installers
  • Develop and implement territory plan and adjust sales techniques according to interactions and results in the field
  • Ensure that all Corning Optical Communications' business processes are followed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (technical) or equivalent
  • 3 or more years of sales experience preferably in the same industry, with proven success rate at levels above sales quota
  • Strong technical / product / industry knowledge
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem-solving and presentation skills
  • Very good German and English language skills
  • High flexibility and willingness for 3 to 4 days of business travel per week
