Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Color and Graphics Designer to join our team at adidas. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating convincing design concepts for our SMSU assets and events, primarily through color stories and graphic applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage multiple sports categories in terms of creative strategy, project planning, and on-time execution in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Modify designs of our international inline range, ensuring they meet adidas standards and technical feasibility, while considering customer needs.
  • Create color stories for SMSU ranges in line with our global design direction and customer-specific requirements.
  • Design customer-specific graphic elements and develop inline graphics further to meet SMSU needs.
  • Prepare professional presentations and mood boards to effectively communicate design concepts internally and externally.
  • Develop design packs in 2D and 3D, as well as other handover documents, to ensure technical accuracy and support a smooth development process.
  • Utilize 3D tools for presentation purposes and to enhance design decisions.
  • Collaborate with inline design, marketing, and development teams regarding color schemes, color stories, graphics, and placement ideas based on customer needs, technical feasibility, and brand objectives.
  • Ensure that customer wishes and adidas brand standards are met in all design-related work.
  • Act as a strong influencer in the cross-functional team to drive the range towards design vision.
  • Support the daily work and development of junior team members.
  • Manage external design capacities/freelancers.
  • Develop 3D concept representations, 3D assets, and digital product information for accurate development and decision-making processes.

Requirements:

  • Advanced knowledge of art and design, with a clear understanding of visual design concepts and an exceptional sense for color, color combinations, their application, and color trends.
  • Good overview of today's sports products from all areas.
  • Knowledge and use of Macintosh computer design software/systems.
  • Excellent skills in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Ideal skills in 3D programs such as Clo3D.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
  • Ability to self-responsibly handle complex projects/multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to set priorities in a high-pressure environment with tight deadlines.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Strong 3D skills and knowledge of virtual tools are required.

Preferred Tools:

  • Clo3D, Browzwear, VStitcher, or similar 3D fashion design tools.
  • Rhino, Modo, ICAD Pro, or similar 3D design tools.

Requisite Education and Experience:

  • Qualified to degree level in Design/Trend related studies, preferably in the area of fashion or graphic design.
  • Experienced in Color Design and/or a creative environment, fully trained and qualified in the area of Product or Color Design.
  • At least 4 years of theoretical experience in the field of Color Design, either through education, studies, or training.
  • 4 years of related practical experience.
