Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of color and material trends, as well as their applications and cycles.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, marketing, and development, to ensure that color and material executions meet commercial opportunities and category needs.
- Provide trend forecasting content relevant to our consumer and brand, and contribute to seasonal and long-term design direction for our categories.
- Work closely with members of the design team to provide color and material content and direction, and to understand technical details of our products.
- Build top-line range strategy into our product range, including support for Senior Team Lead in owning holistic category overviews, rollouts, and merchandising strategy.
- Four-year college or university degree in industrial, graphics, apparel, or footwear design.
- Practical experience in footwear design, fashion design, or any design-related environment.
- Thorough knowledge of art and design, with a clear understanding of visual design or any design-related environment.
- Three years of relevant work experience.
- Strong understanding of brand history and current positioning.
- Understanding of marketplace (footwear/streetwear/urban) history, consumer, and current positioning.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment.
- Ability to influence and collaborate with key business partners.
