We’re thrilled to be working with a globally renowned organisation in the aerospace sector to find their next Head of Operations.


This role offers a rare chance to lead, inspire, and make a tangible impact within an industry-leading business. As Head of Operations, you’ll oversee the assembly of cutting-edge jet engines, driving operational excellence and fostering a high-performance culture.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach a team of operational leaders to deliver consistently high performance.
  • Oversee health, safety, and environmental compliance for the plant.
  • Drive productivity and optimise manufacturing assets to meet global customer demands.
  • Implement and champion continuous improvement methodologies, including Lean Manufacturing.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve operational efficiency and sustainability goals.
  • Manage operational and financial budgets to ensure effective resource allocation.
  • Foster collaboration across departments to streamline processes and enhance overall performance.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring robust business continuity plans are in place.


What We’re Looking For

  • Extensive leadership experience in manufacturing or assembly operations, ideally in aerospace or a similarly complex industry.
  • Proven expertise in continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.
  • Strong track record of delivering improved operational performance through cross-functional collaboration.
  • Experience leading large-scale transformation projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
  • Fluent in Business English and German, with the ability to navigate both technical and executive-level discussions.
  • A background in higher education and leadership development, demonstrating readiness for senior executive challenges.
  • Financial acumen, with experience in managing budgets and resource allocation effectively.
