ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Head of Operations DE you’ll work on interesting responsibilities like leading the development and direction of sennder’s sales and operations in the DACH market and participate in most-senior strategy and planning with sennder’s Executive Management to shape the future of sennder’s business offering. You will take ownership of setting the strategic vision with a focus on growth and will translate that into a strategy that you will implement and execute on. You will manage the P&L for the DACH region and be responsible for ongoing forecasting, developing and improving the overall operations that will enable the business to deliver on it’s top
- and bottom-line targets. You will lead a team of diverse people across (Key) Account Management & Carrier teams that are focused on the DACH region and based in the Berlin HQ.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL...
- Manage and develop the Operations internal performance, transformation, and digitalization
- Create a comprehensive plan for expansion and operations in Germany and DACH
- Partner with internal teams (such as product and program) to identify bottlenecks and capitalize on opportunities in the German market
- Promote and build a performance-driven, disciplined revenue culture focused on clients, their success, quality partnerships and growth
- Build and lead strong operations teams in Germany to fulfill our further growth path and cope with our customer requirements
- Provide leadership and direction to a high-performance team, including hiring and training of approximately 50+ employees
- Implement best practices to support consistent and consultative processes to develop company strategy

PREFERABLY YOU HAVE...
- Strong background and extensive experience in Full Truck Load (FTL) on the shipper and carrier side, or other ground transportation segments
- 3 years of experience in managing big teams (including Managers of Managers), including experience in managing hybrid / matrix organizations
- An understanding of the German business landscape, and of German decision-making processes in “mittelstand” and large businesses
- Exposure to technology solutions and product development cycles
- Data Driven, Inspirational Leadership: Strong analytical and data-based approach to find the most high-yield, effective channels to drive improvements
- Strong leadership and people management skills, self-driven with an entrepreneurial spirit
- Highly effective communication skills
- Strong integrity, people instincts and influencing skills
- Professional English and German language skills
