**Duties**:

- Serves as a Cyber Security analyst for the security of AFRICOM and EUCOM command and control networks.
- Develops, implements, and administers various aspects of Cyber Security in relation to the Enterprise Services.
- Performs IT Project Management to deliver information technology products, services, or systems in support of US Africa Command objectives.
- Provides briefings and updates to managers and supervisors for information and follow-on actions.
- Provides Configuration Management support at the Component and System Levels IAW AFRICOM J6 approved strategy.
- Develops working knowledge of new technologic theories, concepts, standards, principles and methods to improve business processes and other system integration.
- Uses an in-depth knowledge of legacy systems and new technology systems to manage hardware and software changes to the baseline of all automated information systems used in the Theater.
- Provides support and recommendations to create and manage development, test, and staging environment leveraging cloud and on-prime solutions.

- This position requires the incumbent to possess, or obtain and maintain, a valid official U.S. Passport.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access or access for the duration of employment.
- This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain the appropriate Information Assurance certification in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M, Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program, within 6 months of entry onto duty.
- Required to obtain and maintain a USAREUR driver's license, in addition, the employee must possess a valid stateside driver?s license prior to arrival at the OCONUS duty location.
- All individuals performing technical functions are required to sign a Privileged-Level Access Agreement (PAA) and Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).

**Specialized and Other Experience**:One year of specialized experience which includes: (1) Reviewing and evaluating the security impact of system changes; (2) Developing local plans, policies, or practices necessary to provide guidance and assistance in all aspects of hardware and software security; and (3) Recommending corrective actions for system deficiencies or vulnerabilities. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).**The specialized experience must include, or be supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined**:
**(1) Attention to Detail -** Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Examples of IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: completing thorough and accurate work independently, even in the most difficult or stressful situations; occasionally reviewing work completed by others.**(2) Customer Service -** Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. Examples of IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: resolving routine and non-routine problems, questions, or complaints; developing and maintaining strong, mutually supportive working relationships with customers; conducting evaluation of support to determine quality of services and customer satisfaction, and recommending procedural changes based on customer need or changes in policy and/or regulation.**(3) Oral Communication - **Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral present
