Sales Director for Life Science Sales

As a Sales Director for Life Science Sales, you will lead one of our Life Science Sales Teams and collaborate with a resilient, tenacious sales team to achieve ambitious sales targets. This role is ideal for a seasoned sales professional with a strong background in life sciences and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Active management and further development of the sales team, monitoring sales activities related to the region.
  • Establish annual sales quotas for the region / team and accurately forecast sales revenue on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis, maintains a close view on funnel opportunities for the purpose of forecasting.
  • Be active part of LSG CE Sales Management team and drive central european tactics and strategies.
  • Close co-operation with marketing, service, finance and other functional teams.
  • Routinely accompanies direct reports on sales calls to key customers, assist in managing relationships with key clients and helps to close sales as needed.
  • Routinely analyzes sales trends, using them to direct the team to the highest priority activities.
  • Communicate market / industry / competitor trends to leadership, marketing and other key personnel.

Requirements:

  • Advanced degree in the life sciences, i.e. molecular biology, protein chemistry, cell biology or related subjects.
  • Successful track record with at least 5 years of experience in Life Science Sales.
  • Leadership Skills and ability to motivate people.
  • Strong analytical thinking, strong verbal and written communication skills, advanced negotiation abilities and mature interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Familiarity with CRM (preferred Salesforce), MS Office 365 with special emphasis on EXCEL and Powerpoint
