Life Science Sales Team Leader

As a Sales Manager for Life Science at Bio-Rad, you will be responsible for leading one of our Life Science Sales Teams. You will collaborate with a resilient and tenacious sales team to achieve ambitious sales targets. Your role will involve active management and further development of the sales team, monitoring sales activities related to the region, and establishing annual sales quotas for the region/team. You will also be responsible for accurately forecasting sales revenue on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, maintaining a close view on funnel opportunities for the purpose of forecasting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Active management and further development of the sales team, monitoring sales activities related to the region.
  • Establish annual sales quotas for the region/team and accurately forecast sales revenue on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, maintains a close view on funnel opportunities for the purpose of forecasting.
  • Be active part of LSG CE Sales Management team and drive central european tactics and strategies.
  • Closely collaborate with marketing, service, finance, and other functional teams.
  • Routinely accompany direct reports on sales calls to key customers, assist in managing relationships with key clients, and help close sales as needed.
  • Routinely analyze sales trends, using them to direct the team to the highest priority activities.
  • Communicate market/industry/competitor trends to leadership, marketing, and other key personnel.

Requirements:

  • Advanced degree in the life sciences, i.e., molecular biology, protein chemistry, cell biology, or related subjects.
  • Successful track record with at least 5 years of experience in Life Science Sales.
  • Leadership skills and ability to motivate people.
  • Strong analytical thinking, strong verbal and written communication skills, advanced negotiation abilities, and mature interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in German and English.
  • Familiarity with CRM (preferred Salesforce), MS Office 365 with special emphasis on EXCEL and Powerpoint.
