Position OverviewThe EMEA Pharma Sales Manager will report directly to the Senior EMEA Sales Director. This role is pivotal in acquiring new clients, prospecting, and nurturing existing relationships with Key Accounts within the designated region, aligning with the strategic objectives of the company. The successful candidate will leverage a professional demeanor, strong business insight, and the ability to cultivate robust relationships with customers, prospects, and industry stakeholders. The EMEA Pharma Sales Manager is tasked with establishing and upholding the reputation of W. R. Grace & Co. as the preferred provider of products and services in the pharmaceutical sector.
Key Responsibilities- Achieve designated targets for profitable sales volume, gross margin, and strategic goals within assigned accounts.
- Manage and enhance strategic relationships with Pharma Key Accounts in the territory, including establishing new commercial connections within the Pharma Industry and fostering relationships at all levels within the customer organization.
- Proactively build and manage the Pharma Sales pipeline through effective commercial execution.
- Negotiate and support Supply Agreements, sustainability initiatives, or audit requests for Pharma clients, collaborating with internal departments such as Legal, Sustainability, and Quality.
- Drive profitability through a balanced approach to Product Mix, Pricing, and Volume, while developing and presenting proposals that clearly communicate customer value propositions.
- Lead a strategic account planning process that establishes performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for each target account.
- Regularly update forecasts, opportunities, and key account data, while leading Pre-Call Plans and generating Call Reports from significant customer interactions.
- Coordinate with internal resources to ensure that all logistical, financial, marketing, and legal requirements for sales in each territory are met to satisfy customer needs.
- Bachelor's degree in Organic Chemistry or Pharmacology.
- Minimum of 5 years of successful B2B sales experience.
- Strong networking and relationship-building capabilities, both internally and externally.
- Results-driven with the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
- Proven track record of establishing and maintaining enduring customer relationships.
- Ability to comprehend and sell a technical product portfolio effectively.
- Excellent listening skills and teamwork orientation.
- A dynamic leader and motivator with high energy and drive.
- Commitment to continuous learning and personal development.
- Proficient in utilizing defined IT tools for effective information sharing, reporting, and compliance.
- Experience in Sales or Sourcing within Pharma or Life Sciences sectors.
