Position Overview

The EMEA Pharma Sales Manager will report directly to the Senior EMEA Sales Director. This role is pivotal in acquiring new customers, prospecting, and nurturing existing relationships with Key Accounts within the defined territory, aligning with the strategic goals of the company. Success in this position will be achieved through a professional demeanor, exceptional business insight, and the cultivation of robust relationships with clients, prospects, and industry leaders. The EMEA Pharma Sales Manager is tasked with establishing and upholding the reputation of W. R. Grace & Co. as the preferred supplier in the Pharmaceutical sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Achieve assigned targets for profitable sales volume, gross margin, and strategic objectives within designated accounts.
  • Manage and further develop strategic relationships with Pharma Key Accounts in the region, including forging new commercial connections within the Pharma Industry and building rapport at all levels within customer organizations.
  • Proactively prospect, build, and manage the Pharma Sales pipeline through effective Commercial Execution.
  • Negotiate and support Supply Agreements, sustainability initiatives, or audit requests for Pharma clients, collaborating with internal departments such as Legal, Sustainability, and Quality.
  • Enhance profitability through a strategic mix of Product, Price, and Volume, adjusting pricing as necessary while preparing and presenting proposals that clearly communicate customer value propositions.
  • Lead a strategic account planning process that establishes performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for each target account.
  • Regularly update forecasts, opportunities, and key account data, while leading Pre-Call Plans and generating Call Reports from significant customer interactions.
  • Coordinate with internal resources to ensure that all logistical, financial, marketing, and legal requirements for sales in each territory are executed effectively to meet customer needs.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Organic Chemistry or Pharmacology.
  • Minimum of 5 years of successful B2B sales experience.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building capabilities, both internally and externally.
  • Results-driven with the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
  • Proven track record of establishing and maintaining enduring customer relationships.
  • Ability to comprehend and sell a technical product portfolio effectively.
  • Excellent listening skills and teamwork capabilities.
  • A motivated leader with high energy and drive.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and personal development.
  • Proficient in utilizing defined IT tools for information sharing, reporting, and compliance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in either Selling or Sourcing within Pharma or Life Sciences sectors.
  • Experience in Key Account Management sales.
