Overview

The Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt (DLR) is a leading research institution in the field of aerospace, and we are currently seeking a talented Research Scientist - Quantum Computing to join our team. As a Research Scientist, you will play a key role in developing and implementing quantum algorithms and data structures to tackle real-world problems, such as sensor data processing, infrastructure modeling, and time series analysis.

About the Role

As a Research Scientist - Quantum Computing, you will be part of a collaborative research initiative with the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge quantum computing applications. You will develop and implement quantum algorithms and data structures to tackle real-world problems, and will have the chance to pursue a PhD within the project, supported by experienced researchers and advisors.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement quantum algorithms and data structures to tackle real-world problems
  • Collaborate with researchers and scientists to advance the field of quantum computing
  • Pursue a PhD within the project, supported by experienced researchers and advisors

Requirements

  • Master's degree in computer science, physics, mathematics, or a related field
  • Programming experience in Python, C++, or Java
  • Familiarity with quantum computing architectures, algorithms, and data structures is a plus
