Our primary focuses at Fraunhofer IWES are on wind energy and hydrogen technologies. We secure investments in technological developments through validation, shorten innovation cycles, accelerate certification procedures, and increase planning accuracy by means of innovative measurement methods.

You will be part of the group »Test Planning and Evaluation« at our site in Bremerhaven. At present, our team consists of four research associates and several students. Our group focuses on experimental and theoretical investigations of wind turbine nacelles at both the component and system levels. Validation of nacelle components is carried out through both test rigs and simulations. Become an active member of the team; we are keen to hear your ideas As an international oriented IWES-team, we highly appreciate an open exchange, whether this be in German or English. **These duties await you...**
You are about to join us as we expand our test rig capabilities, which involves making modifications to the cooling system. This system will need to be extended and integrated into the main control system. You will have the chance to directly contribute to these efforts. You will be modeling and simulating a new cooling system for our wind turbine nacelle test rigs, and you will support the validation of the cooling system for an actual wind turbine. You will work closely with our control teams, assessing the system's capabilities and limitations while combining independent research with hands-on validation efforts. Sounds like a lot? The standard contract duration is 1 year, individual agreements are possible. The working time consists of up to 80 hours per month. Remuneration according to the general works agreement for employing assistant staff.
