Airport Business Development Director

We are seeking a highly skilled Airport Business Development Director to join our team at Munich Airport International.
About the Role:
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing go-to-market strategies for business expansion, market positioning, and partnership development in the aviation industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement go-to-market strategies for business expansion, market positioning, and partnership development in the aviation industry.
- Actively approach clients, generate leads, and conduct market/trend analyses to identify new business opportunities.
- Maintain and expand existing client relationships, fostering cross- and up-selling opportunities.
- Create tailored proposals and lead contract negotiations, ensuring all technical, commercial, legal, and financial requirements are met.
- Participate in the development and implementation of corporate initiatives to support MAI's growth strategy.
- Support Head of Competences and Project Managers in project operations and co-develop/implement strategies aimed at ensuring high project delivery and account management standards.
Requirements:
- University degree in business, aviation management, or related engineering disciplines with at least 7 years of experience in the airport business.
- Experience in developing and implementing go-to-market strategies and business development activities at international level.
- Experience in the commercialization and execution of consulting, and management projects in the airport marketplace.
- Proven experience interacting/negotiating with complex organizational structures and dealing with stakeholders.
- Excellent conflict resolution skills in challenging situations.
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and negotiation skills in multicultural environments. English and German Skills are required.
- High resilience and flexibility under tight deadlines, with a willingness to travel and live abroad.
- Excellent proficiency with PC, particularly MS Office and CRM tools, and strong English language skills (additional languages advantageous, good German skills preferred).
