Environmental and Safety Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Health, Safety, and Environmental Specialist to join our team at Amazon Heidenheim GmbH. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees and the environment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective health, safety, and environmental management systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Amazon's global standards.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and implement controls to mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvements and best practices.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on health, safety, and environmental procedures and protocols.
- Develop and maintain accurate records and reports on health, safety, and environmental performance.
- Work closely with local authorities and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Relevant certification in occupational health and safety (e.g. Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit)
- Strong understanding of German environmental and occupational health and safety legislation
- Advanced proficiency in German and English
- Prior experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or logistics environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team
