At Amazon Heidenheim GmbH, the safety and health of our workforce is paramount. As a Senior HSE Specialist, you will be integral to fostering a secure work environment.

Your primary focus will be to actively safeguard the health and safety of all personnel at your facility, instilling confidence and encouraging high performance.

Your role is pivotal in making a significant difference in the workplace every day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing critical functions such as team management, performance metrics, operational goals, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensuring workplace safety and employee well-being at your site, including assessing the health and productivity of team members
  • Collaborating on Health & Safety initiatives across all operational areas
  • Conducting reviews and audits of health and safety protocols, enhancing them as needed
  • Developing and implementing strategies to mitigate risks by suggesting appropriate modifications to equipment and processes
  • Establishing comprehensive reporting systems for health and safety data
  • Providing relevant information and statistics to management within your scope of responsibility
  • Facilitating business transitions through effective change management in a dynamic environment
  • Promoting safety culture initiatives in a large, multifaceted, multishift operation
  • Upholding and assessing Amazon's global safety standards, ensuring adherence to local legal obligations
A Day in the Life:

In this role, you will be stationed at the logistics site, meticulously reviewing operational processes. You will monitor adherence to occupational safety regulations, pinpointing potential challenges and areas for enhancement. Collaboration with employees across various departments will be essential to understand their safety concerns. You will collect data to implement more intelligent and safer work practices. Furthermore, you will design training programs to educate employees on updated safety procedures.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certification as a "Safety Specialist"
  • Knowledge of German environmental and occupational safety regulations
  • Proficient in both German and English
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Familiarity with Lean, 5S, or Kaizen methodologies
  • Capability to plan or spearhead environmental initiatives
  • Proven experience in team leadership
