About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Health, Safety, and Environmental Specialist to join our team at Amazon Heidenheim GmbH. As a key member of our safety team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees and the environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective health, safety, and environmental management systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement safety training programs and ensure employee compliance with safety procedures.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and stakeholders to ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to employees on health, safety, and environmental matters.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in health, safety, and environmental management, preferably in a manufacturing or logistics environment.
  • Strong knowledge of German environmental and occupational health and safety laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Lean, 5S, or Kaizen methodologies.
  • Ability to plan and lead environmental initiatives.
  • Experience in team leadership or management.
