At Volocopter, we are at the forefront of electric air mobility, developing innovative solutions for urban transportation through electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft (eVTOLs). Our commitment is to integrate sustainable air travel into the existing transport framework of major cities worldwide. Since our groundbreaking crewed flight of a fully electric multicopter in 2011, we have successfully completed over 2,000 test flights globally.
Role Overview
Your Team:
In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Quality Team, Production Team, and Methods and Tools Team to ensure seamless operations.
Your Responsibilities:
As a Configuration Specialist in Production, your primary focus will be to maintain the accuracy and currency of our aircraft configurations as we strive for entry-into-service with our Volocity aircraft. You will play a crucial role in overseeing our change control procedures and facilitating effective communication among various teams. Furthermore, you will assist in the documentation and release processes within our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system, while also supporting Quality and Production in configuration management. Your proficiency in configuration management, familiarity with industry standards, and collaborative skills will be essential to our success.
Required Qualifications
Essential Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years of practical experience in configuration management
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience in production
- Background in the Aviation or Automotive sectors related to configuration management
- Understanding of production environments
- Familiarity with PLM tools such as Siemens Teamcenter or PTC Windchill
- Knowledge of ERP systems like SAP or Microsoft
- Experience with EASA or similar industry-standard audit processes
- Proficient in English
- Competent in MS Office Suite
