Job Description

The Rare Disease Manager will be responsible for conducting business and sales with key specialist healthcare providers, while educating the market and driving clients' brand adoption in the respective disease area. This role requires alignment with commercial leadership and adherence to company guidelines, policies, and directives.

This is a remote position, ideally located in the Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt, or Dusseldorf area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and regularly update a strategic territory plan, reflecting product strategies, market insights, competitor landscape, customer needs, and the patient journey to optimize patient access and drive product sales.
  • Drive disease awareness and support patient finding throughout the patient journey to reduce time to diagnosis by mapping and supporting referral pathways from non-expert centers to expert centers.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve qualitative and quantitative account objectives and optimize coverage and frequency to key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the in-field team, brand team, and first-line manager to share market intelligence and anticipate environmental changes to optimize brand strategy, account plans, and execution.
  • Build trusted customer relationships based on high scientific disease knowledge, ethical behavior, and compliance to establish clients' leadership in the respective disease area.
  • Effectively handle objections and consistently gain logical and reasonable calls to action to close sales calls.
  • Actively participate and represent clients on scientific congresses with ethical and compliant behavior.
Requirements
  • Travel: as necessary to work the assigned territory and attend training and meetings.
  • Hours: Full-time position requiring full days in the field.
  • Strong business acumen and proficient use of business tools; possesses strategic and critical thinking capabilities.
  • In-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge and recognition as an expert resource by all relevant stakeholders.
  • Excellent selling skills: ability to proactively identify customer style/behavior and adapt quickly with all aspects of selling approach.
  • Collaborates effectively in a matrix environment.
  • Acts in line with applicable compliance rules and processes to ensure high ethical behavior.
