Procurement Project Manager

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Project Manager to join our team at Alstom in Siegen, Germany. As a key member of our procurement organization, you will be responsible for executing, monitoring, and optimizing material budgets, as well as establishing and managing procurement schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential risks and opportunities.
- Manage the procurement schedule, ensuring alignment with technical requirements and project timelines.
- Represent procurement interests in project meetings and ensure effective communication with stakeholders.
- Provide input on project-specific terms and conditions to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Drive make-or-buy decisions based on overall business strategy and supplier input.
- Coordinate material cost reduction activities and ensure alignment with global commodity management.
- Manage supplier documentation and ensure compliance with company requirements.
- Ensure dual/multi-sourcing activities are aligned with project teams and stakeholders.
About You
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced procurement professional with a strong background in supply chain management. You will have a university degree in a relevant field and excellent communication skills. You will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering results.
