Procurement Project Manager

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Project Manager to join our team at Alstom. As a key member of our procurement organization, you will be responsible for executing, monitoring, and optimizing material budgets, as well as establishing and managing procurement schedules.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Execute and monitor material budgets, identifying potential risks and opportunities
- Establish and manage procurement schedules, with a focus on technical requirements documents and drawing releases
- Coordinate interfaces between project and procurement teams, representing procurement in project-related activities
- Provide project-specific terms and conditions to responsible buyers
- Drive make-or-buy decisions based on overall strategy, including supplier input for business cases
- Coordinate project-related material cost reduction activities
- Manage supplier documentation, including requirements and execution
- Ensure dual or multi-sourcing activities are aligned with project teams prior to purchase order placement
- Facilitate contact with suppliers to support parts approval processes
- Secure implementation of strategies and alignment of project sourcing plans with global commodity management
About You
We value passion and attitude over experience. To succeed in this role, you will need:
- University of Applied Science degree (engineer or commercial) or comparable
- Technical knowledge
- Strong personal responsibility and willingness to travel
- Capability and willingness to work in an international environment
- Ability to communicate in German and English
- Good knowledge of MS-Excel and PowerPoint, with SAP knowledge a plus
