Your Future Role
Our site is a global center of excellence for bogies, where 800 professionals are engaged in the development, manufacturing, testing, and repair of bogies for international rail traffic, ensuring stability and comfort on the tracks. The corporate functions are pivotal in supporting and enhancing the performance of our operations. You will report to Vanda Boos and collaborate with a committed and enthusiastic team.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement, oversee, and enhance the material budget while identifying potential risks and opportunities.
- Develop and manage the procurement timeline with a particular emphasis on technical requirements and document release.
- Facilitate communication between project teams and procurement, representing procurement in all project-related activities, especially during the initiation phase and project meetings.
- Provide relevant project-specific terms and conditions to the assigned buyers.
- Lead Make or Buy decisions based on overarching strategies, incorporating supplier input for business cases.
- Coordinate activities aimed at reducing material costs related to projects.
- Manage supplier documentation requirements and execution.
- Ensure that any dual or multi-sourcing activities are communicated, aligned, and agreed upon with the project team before placing purchase orders.
- Support supplier interactions to assist in the parts approval process.
- Guarantee that strategies are executed and project sourcing plans are in sync with global commodity management.
Candidate Profile

- A degree from a University of Applied Sciences (engineering or business) or an equivalent qualification.
- Technical expertise.
- A strong sense of personal accountability and a willingness to travel.
- Capability and eagerness to operate in an international context.
- Proficiency in both German and English.
- Solid knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with SAP is advantageous.
