About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Project Manager to join our team at Alstom in Siegen, Germany. As a key member of our procurement organization, you will be responsible for executing, monitoring, and optimizing material budgets, as well as establishing and managing procurement schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective communication
- Manage and optimize procurement schedules to meet project deadlines
- Provide input on project-specific terms and conditions to ensure compliance with company policies
- Drive make-or-buy decisions based on overall business strategy
- Coordinate material cost reduction activities to improve profitability
- Manage supplier documentation and ensure compliance with company requirements
- Ensure dual/multi-sourcing activities are aligned with project teams and global commodity management
About You
We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual with a strong background in procurement and project management. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- University degree in a relevant field (e.g. engineering, business administration)
- Technical knowledge and experience in procurement and project management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in German and English
- Proficiency in MS-Excel and PowerPoint, with experience in SAP a plus
