Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Senior System Engineer to join our engineering team for international locomotive projects in Europe, Asia, and North America. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the technical clarification, specification, software development, and verification of the traction system for our electric or hybrid-electric locomotives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement software solutions for the traction system, ensuring high performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and test locomotives, ensuring compliance with market requirements and trends.
  • Work on the reusability of your work results to foster our platform strategy, while tracking costs and deadlines individually.
  • Implement solutions to increase the efficiency and reliability of vehicles.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in electrical engineering or mechatronics with a focus on drive technology and/or power electronics.
  • Longstanding experience in the field of control of electrical drives.
  • Sound knowledge in structured and model-based software development.
  • Knowledge in alternative drive technologies like battery and/or hydrogen.
  • Ability to understand and define complex systems and use a structured way of working, problem solving, and documentation.
