Senior System Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior System Engineer to join our engineering team for international locomotive projects in Europe, Asia, and North America. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the technical clarification, specification, software development, and verification of the traction system for our electric or hybrid-electric locomotives.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement software for the traction system, ensuring seamless integration with the locomotive's hardware.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, test, and validate the traction system.
- Stay up-to-date with market trends and requirements, driving the technical further development of the traction control system.
- Work closely with colleagues to develop solutions for current design, new customer requirements, improvements, and new functions.
- Ensure the reusability of your work results to foster our platform strategy.
- Master's degree in electrical engineering or mechatronics with a focus on drive technology and/or power electronics.
- Longstanding experience in the field of control of electrical drives.
- Sound knowledge in structured and model-based software development - from requirements analysis to testing and documentation.
- Familiarity with alternative drive technologies like battery and/or hydrogen.
- Ability to understand and define complex systems and use a structured way of working, problem solving, and documentation.
