Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior System Engineer to join our engineering team for international locomotive projects in Europe, Asia, and North America. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the technical clarification, specification, software development, and verification of the traction system for our electric or hybrid-electric locomotives.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement software for the traction system, ensuring seamless integration with hardware components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, test, and validate locomotive systems.
- Stay up-to-date with market trends and requirements, driving the technical further development of the traction control system.
- Work closely with colleagues to develop reusable solutions, fostering our platform strategy.
- Ensure efficient and reliable vehicle performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
- Master's degree in electrical engineering or mechatronics, with a focus on drive technology and/or power electronics.
- Proven experience in control of electrical drives, with a strong understanding of structured and model-based software development.
- Knowledge of alternative drive technologies, such as battery and/or hydrogen.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand and define complex systems.
- Willingness to travel as required, up to 20% of the time.
