Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior System Engineer to join our engineering team for international locomotive projects in Europe, Asia, and North America. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the technical clarification, specification, software development, and verification of the traction system for our electric or hybrid-electric locomotives.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement software solutions for the traction system, ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and test locomotives, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct market research and analyze trends to inform the development of the traction control system.
- Work closely with colleagues to identify and implement opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics with a focus on drive technology and/or power electronics.
- Proven experience in control of electrical drives, with a strong understanding of structured and model-based software development.
- Knowledge of alternative drive technologies, such as battery and/or hydrogen.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
