Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Senior System Engineer to join our engineering team for international locomotive projects in Europe, Asia, and North America. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the technical clarification, specification, software development, and verification of the traction system for our electric or hybrid-electric locomotives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement software solutions for the traction system, ensuring high performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and test locomotives, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Work closely with customers to understand their requirements and develop solutions that meet their needs.
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends and technological advancements, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement in our products.
  • Contribute to the development of our platform strategy, ensuring reusability and efficiency in our solutions.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics with a focus on drive technology and/or power electronics.
  • Proven experience in control of electrical drives, with a strong understanding of structured and model-based software development.
  • Knowledge of alternative drive technologies, such as battery and/or hydrogen.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel as required, up to 20% of the time.
