POSITION OVERVIEW

As a pivotal member of our Quality Assurance division, you will oversee the integrity of our Linux-based software, IGEL OS, within a cloud and server computing framework. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the software development team to guarantee that only thoroughly vetted software, adhering to the highest quality benchmarks, is released to our clientele.

In your capacity as the Manager of Quality Assurance, you will enhance the QA management team, ensuring that the various QA units (Core, Java, Linux, and Test Automation) operate efficiently and significantly impact the quality of our development processes. You will share accountability for personnel management, project oversight, technological advancements, and procedural enhancements alongside the QA department manager.

To further our growth and solidify our competitive edge, we are seeking a Manager of Quality Assurance to join our team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • **Team Leadership**: You will co-manage the technical and managerial direction of the QA teams, cultivating a motivated and high-performance work atmosphere.
  • **Strategy Development**: You will establish quality goals and standards for our software offerings (including IGEL OS and Universal Management Suite) and devise tailored QA strategies to meet these targets.
  • **Test Coordination**: You will orchestrate and conduct testing procedures to ensure our products are free of defects and user-friendly, working in close partnership with the development team.
  • **Defect Oversight**: You will supervise the defect management process, prioritize issues, and monitor their resolution to facilitate ongoing enhancements in software quality.
  • **Best Practices Implementation**: You will advocate for and apply QA best practices and tools to ensure streamlined workflows and continuous improvement.
  • **Reporting**: You will compile regular updates on software quality status and present findings to management and relevant stakeholders.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in Quality Assurance, preferably with a background in leading QA teams.
  • Proficient understanding of software testing methodologies, test automation, and QA tools.
  • Experience in formulating and executing QA strategies within agile software development frameworks.
  • Strong leadership capabilities and a collaborative spirit to inspire and develop the QA team.
  • An analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities to address complex technical challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with various internal teams and external partners.
  • A passion for quality and a strong commitment to maintaining high standards.
  • Proficiency in both German and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
