About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Manager to join our team at IGEL Technology. As a key member of our QA department, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our Linux-based software, IGEL OS, in the cloud/server-based computing environment.
As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will work closely with our software development team to ensure that only tested software that meets the highest quality standards is delivered to customers. Your primary focus will be on managing a QA team, developing and implementing QA strategies, test planning and execution, defect management, and implementing QA best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a QA team, fostering a motivated and performance-oriented working environment
- Develop and implement QA strategies to achieve quality objectives and standards for our software products
- Coordinate and execute tests to ensure our products are bug-free and user-friendly
- Monitor the defect process, prioritize defects, and track their resolution
- Implement and promote QA best practices and tools to ensure efficient workflows and continuous improvement
Requirements
- Completed studies in computer science, software engineering, or comparable training
- Several years of professional experience in Quality Assurance, ideally with experience in leading a QA team
- Sound knowledge of software testing methods, test automation, and QA tools
- Experience in developing and implementing QA strategies in agile software development environments
- Strong leadership skills, team spirit, analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, and ability to tackle complex technical challenges
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with various internal teams and external stakeholders
- Passion for quality and high level of quality awareness
- Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken
