The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Manager to join our team at IGEL Technology. As a key member of our QA department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our Linux-based software, IGEL OS, in the cloud/server-based computing environment.

As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of QA engineers and working closely with the software development team to ensure that only tested software that meets the highest quality standards is delivered to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a QA team to ensure technical and disciplinary leadership
  • Develop and implement QA strategies to achieve quality objectives and standards
  • Coordinate and execute tests to ensure software products are bug-free and user-friendly
  • Monitor the defect process, prioritize defects, and track resolution for continuous improvement
  • Implement QA best practices and tools to ensure efficient workflows and continuous improvement
  • Prepare regular reports on software quality status and present to management and stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Completed studies in computer science, software engineering, or comparable training
  • Several years of professional experience in Quality Assurance, ideally with experience leading a QA team
  • Sound knowledge of software testing methods, test automation, and QA tools
  • Experience developing and implementing QA strategies in agile software development environments
  • Strong leadership skills, team spirit, and ability to motivate and develop the QA team
  • Analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, and ability to tackle complex technical challenges
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Passion for quality and high level of quality awareness
  • Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken
