ROLE OVERVIEW

In the Quality Assurance division at IGEL Technology, we prioritize the excellence of our Linux-based software, IGEL OS, within a cloud and server computing framework. Our QA professionals collaborate closely with the software development team to guarantee that only thoroughly tested software, adhering to the highest quality benchmarks, is delivered to our clients.

As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will enhance the QA leadership team and play a crucial role in ensuring that the QA units (Core, Java, Linux, and Test Automation) operate efficiently, significantly impacting the quality of our development processes. You will be accountable for personnel management, project oversight, technological advancements, and procedural enhancements alongside the QA department head.

To further our growth and solidify our market presence, we are seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to join our team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Team Leadership: You will share responsibility for the technical and managerial guidance of the QA teams, fostering a motivated and results-driven work environment.
  • QA Strategy Development: You will establish quality objectives and standards for our software products (including IGEL OS and Universal Management Suite) and cloud services, crafting tailored QA strategies to meet these goals.
  • Test Coordination: You will oversee and implement testing procedures to ensure our products are free of defects and user-friendly, collaborating closely with the development team.
  • Defect Oversight: You will supervise the defect management process, prioritize issues, and monitor their resolution to ensure ongoing enhancements in software quality.
  • Best Practices Implementation: You will advocate for and implement QA best practices and tools to facilitate efficient workflows and continuous improvement.
  • Status Reporting: You will compile regular updates on software quality status and present findings to management and relevant stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in Quality Assurance, with a preference for candidates who have led QA teams.
  • Proficient understanding of software testing methodologies, test automation, and QA tools.
  • Experience in formulating and executing QA strategies within agile software development frameworks.
  • Strong leadership capabilities and a collaborative spirit to inspire and develop the QA team.
  • Analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to address complex technical challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with various internal teams and external partners.
  • A passion for quality and a robust commitment to maintaining high standards.
  • Fluency in both German and English, written and spoken.
